What belongs on Townlet

• Independent shops, makers, cafés, pubs and artisan producers.
• Markets, fairs, festivals and community events open to the public.
• Hidden gems: the places locals send visitors to, not the obvious chains.

We don't list national chains, MLM schemes, adult services, or anything that exists mainly to generate leads rather than serve a town.

Accuracy comes first

Every submission and edit is reviewed by a person before it appears. Only submit details you know to be true, and please tell us when something changes — opening hours, a move, or a business that has closed. Use Report a problem on any page.

Claiming your business

Owners and staff can claim a listing to keep it accurate. We ask for a way to verify the connection, and verified owners get a badge. Claiming a business you have no connection to will be rejected.

Small Tables safety

• Small Tables meet in public venues only — independent businesses, community venues or public places. Never private homes.
• Hosts set the group size and may approve guests before confirming a place.
• No money changing hands through Townlet. Everyone pays for their own food and drink.
• Chat is for arranging the meet-up. You can block a member or report a table at any time, and we act on reports.
• Small Tables are for adults. Please be on time, and cancel early if plans change.

How we behave here

Be warm and be useful. No harassment, discrimination, spam, or dumping other people's personal details into a listing or chat. We remove content and accounts that make Townlet a worse place to be local.
