• Account details — when you sign in, we store your email address and display name so you can save places, follow towns and submit content.
• Listings, events, edits and claims — anything you submit for inclusion, which is reviewed by our team before it appears.
• Town suggestions — when you use the “Suggest a Town” form we collect the town name and, if you choose to provide them, the district or borough, postcode area, your reason, your name and your email address. This information is stored privately, is used only to consider which towns to add next, and is never published or shown to other users. Your email address is never shown publicly.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to run Townlet UK — to curate local content, to consider new towns for future inclusion, and to contact you where necessary about a submission. We do not sell your information.

How your information is protected

Town suggestions and submissions are stored securely. Only authorised Townlet UK administrators can view or manage suggestions; members of the public cannot read other people’s submissions or email addresses.
